Election Information
Ladera Ranch Civic Council Elections
Annual elections will be held in the month of September. This September, voters will be asked to vote for three seats on the Ladera Ranch Civic Council. The Civic Council election committee administers the Elections which are conducted by an electronic survey of Ladera Ranch residents. Candidates should reach out to the Council to file their Candidate Statements during the filing period. The Candidate Period begins on July 19, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. and ends on August 5, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Candidate Statements are not available until the first day following the July Civic Council meeting, July 19, 2022. All election services are provided according to the Ladera Ranch Civic Council Bylaws.
September Election
The next Election will be between August 12, 2022 and September 12, 2022, for the election of three Civic Council Members.
How do I Run for Office?
Interested Candidates are encouraged to fill out a Candidate Statement and email the Ladera Civic Council at council@lrciviccouncil.org Potential candidates are encouraged to review eligibility requirements, previous meeting agendas, and meeting minutes to better understand the role of the civic council.

Candidate Process: The Candidate Application Period begins on July 19, 2022 at 8:00 a.m. and ends on August 5, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. Candidate Statements Papers will not be accepted prior to July 19, 2022.

Candidate Qualifications: Each Council candidate and Councilmember shall be a current resident of Ladera Ranch and shall have been a resident of Ladera Ranch for a least six (6) months prior to any election. If a Councilmember relocates from Ladera Ranch, the Council may by a majority vote invite such Councilmember to serve in an ex-officio (non-voting) capacity until expiration of their elected term. Only one person per residential household may serve on the Council at a time.
How do I cast my vote?
If a resident wishes to cast a ballot in this election, a voting link will be provided starting on August 12th on this website. For votes to be valid a Name, Address, and email are required with submission for residency validation.
Voting Rights: Each valid address in Ladera Ranch shall be entitled to cast ballots based on the following:

Each resident will be entitled to cast one (1) ballot. The total number of votes will be determined by the number of open seats (e.g. 3 open seats = 3 available votes).
